“I’m fine.”
“I’m okay.”
“I’m good.”
“I’m alright.”

Who are you lying to when you say one of these words whenever they ask you the question behind those answers?

Other times it’s not for their assurance to say we’re fine, it’s for us. We’re indirectly telling ourselves that we are and we will be. We’re indirectly reminding ourselves that we should be.

Nothing happens if we just lay in bed and cry until something happens. We have to do the action. We have to do it not for everyone but for us. Because at the end of the day, the only person that’ll be there to pick up the pieces and mend it whole again is you.

Don’t worry. Eventually, you genuinely will be. And by that time, no more lying.
